This Privacy Policy explains how Paradox Experience, S.E.P. (“Paradox Experience,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal information in connection with our website, bookings, communications, and tours.

2. SCOPE

This Policy applies when you visit www.paradoxexp.com, book or participate in an experience, communicate with us, use a booking widget, or otherwise provide information to Paradox Experience. Third-party websites and services have their own privacy policies.

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Identity and contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, country, and booking contact details.

• Booking and participation information, such as the selected experience, date, number of participants, language, meeting arrangements, requests, and communications.

• Information voluntarily provided for safety or accommodation, such as mobility needs, dietary restrictions, allergies, pregnancy, or health considerations relevant to participation.

• Transaction information, such as payment status, amount, currency, and transaction reference. Payments are processed through PayPal within the Bókun booking system. We do not receive or store your complete PayPal credentials or full payment-card details.

• Website and device information, such as IP address, browser, device, referring page, pages visited, timestamps, clicks, and similar usage information collected through Squarespace and cookies.

• Communications sent by email, WhatsApp, booking messages, or other customer-service channels.

• Photographs or videos taken during an experience when you have not opted out as described below.

4. HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION

We collect information:

• Directly from you when you make a booking, contact us, participate in a tour, or submit a request.

• Through Bókun and PayPal when you book and pay.

• Automatically through Squarespace, cookies, analytics, security technologies, and connected website tools.

• Through Elfsight widgets and services you choose to use, such as WhatsApp or social-media links.

• From an adult booking on behalf of other participants in the same group.

The person making a group booking is responsible for providing information lawfully and informing the other participants that their details may be shared with us.

5. WHY WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use personal information to:

• Confirm, administer, modify, and fulfill bookings.

• Process and verify payments and refunds.

• Send booking confirmations, meeting instructions, operational updates, safety notices, and customer-service responses.

• Assess participation, accessibility, dietary, and safety requests.

• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve our website and experiences.

• Understand website traffic and service performance.

• Prevent fraud, misuse, and security incidents.

• Maintain accounting, transaction, and operational records.

• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful authorities.

• Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

• Use photographs and videos for the purposes described in Section 14.

We process information as necessary to perform a booking or provide a requested service, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate business and safety interests, and obtain consent where applicable law requires it.

6. BOOKING COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING

We send communications necessary to manage reservations and deliver the selected experience. These may include confirmations, reminders, meeting information, changes, cancellations, refund notices, and responses to customer inquiries.

We do not currently use customer booking information to send promotional email campaigns. If this practice changes, we will provide any notice or consent mechanism required by applicable law.

7. BÓKUN AND PAYPAL

Our booking widgets are provided by Bókun, and online payments are processed through PayPal. When you use these services, personal information is transmitted directly to those providers and may be processed under their own privacy policies and terms.

Bókun may process booking, participant, session, and device information. PayPal may process payment, identity, fraud-prevention, and transaction information. We receive the information reasonably necessary to confirm the booking, provide the service, and manage refunds or disputes.

8. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We do not sell or rent personal information.

We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:

• Squarespace, which hosts our website and provides website analytics and security functions.

• Bókun, which provides booking and reservation technology.

• PayPal, which processes payments and refunds.

• Elfsight, which provides embedded website widgets.

• Email, communications, technical, and professional service providers acting on our behalf.

• Guides, venues, restaurants, markets, and operational partners when necessary to deliver an experience or accommodate a disclosed need.

• WhatsApp or Meta when you choose to contact us through WhatsApp or interact with a Meta service.

• Government, regulatory, law-enforcement, or judicial authorities when disclosure is legally required.

• Advisers or counterparties in connection with a legitimate corporate transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Service providers may use information only according to their own legal responsibilities and the services they provide.

9. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

Squarespace uses necessary cookies to operate and secure the website and may use analytics or performance cookies to help us understand visits and interactions. Embedded third-party services may also use cookies or similar technologies.

Where a cookie consent control is available, you can use it to accept, reject, or adjust non-essential cookies. You can also control cookies through your browser. Blocking some cookies may affect website, booking, or embedded-widget functionality.

10. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Squarespace, Bókun, PayPal, Elfsight, Meta, and other providers may process or store information outside Panama. These countries may have privacy rules different from those in your country.

When required, we rely on appropriate contractual, consent-based, or legal safeguards for cross-border processing. By using a third-party service directly, your information may also be transferred according to that provider’s privacy policy.

11. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including completion of tours, customer service, refunds, safety, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.

Retention periods vary according to the type of information and applicable obligations. When information is no longer reasonably required, we delete, anonymize, or securely restrict it, subject to technical backup cycles and legal requirements.

12. SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, organizational, and technical measures intended to protect personal information. We also rely on established providers for hosting, bookings, and payments.

No website, email, wireless network, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through ordinary email or WhatsApp.

13. CHILDREN AND MINORS

Minors may participate in our experiences only when accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. Bookings for minors must be made or authorized by an adult.

We do not knowingly request personal information directly from a minor without appropriate adult involvement. If you believe a minor has provided information improperly, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

14. PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOS

We may take photographs or videos during tours for documentary, promotional, website, and social-media purposes. If you do not wish to appear, notify us at gerencia@paradoxstudio.info before the activity or tell the guide before recording begins. We will make reasonable efforts to respect the request.

You may contact us regarding an identifiable image. Requests will be evaluated in light of consent, applicable law, prior publication, technical feasibility, and the rights of other participants.

15. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Subject to applicable law and relevant exceptions, you may request:

• Confirmation of whether we process your personal information.

• Access to information associated with you.

• Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.

• Deletion or cancellation of information that is no longer required or is processed unlawfully.

• Opposition to certain processing.

• Withdrawal of consent for future processing where consent is the legal basis.

• Portability where applicable.
